Does either platinum or white gold offer any advantages over stainless steel, other than the slim possibility of bragging rights? To put it another way, if a particular watch comes in stainless steel and in platinum or white gold (or both), and if the stainless model has all of the features that the prospective buyer wants, what justifies spending the extra money on platinum or white gold? I'd appreciate all opinions on this matter. Thanks.
