Why I hate Movados

I bought 3 Movados in the last month, this month two dont work, one is damaged. I did not use these watches in any of my hobbies (bowling, golf, and fishing), only when I go to my office. The three I bought were a sapphire, and two sports.

First problem with the Sapphire - The hands feel off (this was while bowling, forgot to take the watch off), I got this fixed, not a problem only $15 (It probably is covered by warranty, but I didnt want to have to wait 6 weeks, so I took it to Fortunoff's and had it fixed in an hour). Once that got fixed no other problems except two days ago it wasnt keeping time, as if the battery was dead, I bought it in to be fixed and was told it needed an overhaul THIS WATCH WAS BOUGH A MONTH AGO!!!!!!!

Sport watch #1 - Doesnt work, washed my hands with the watch on and now it doesnt work - OVERHAUL NEEDED (gaskets are bad, and the seal is bad), ALSO BOUGHT A MONTH AGO!!!!!

Sport watch #2 - That silver thing is supposed to be stainless steel, right? Stainless steel shouldnt get dings all over it from hitting against a desk, the watch needs a new bezel now. ALSO BOUGHT A MONTH AGO!!!!!

In review this is why I hate Movados:

1. Overpriced...You would think they would at least made automatics (I know they made the Kingmatic a long time ago), or you would pay to look at something other than a plain watch face (the thing doesnt even have a second hand, thats called art?????????).

2. Durability - A fine piece of China is more durable than this.

3. The salespeople are friendly, however when I get something fixed and ask for a cup of water, I would like a cup of water (especially when I see a water cooler right behind them!). I guess it depends on whose behind the counter, there is one guy who is very nice and courteous, but one old lady who annoys me.

4. Scratch resistance - Falls under the durability statement, can scratch a movado crystal with my fingernail.

5. More of their watches need the date on it. I hate when the watch doesnt have a date on it (pet peeve).

My next watch will be a Breitling Old Navitimer or Colt. Right now I'm wearing one of my tag heuer which I have dropped on a sidewalk (by accident) and not a single scratch is on it!

Your responses are appreciated.
