Rolex Sub/waterproof Warranty by BOSSANOVA47 Date: 03/25/2002, 09:25:56 In response to: |
Hello folks.....I'm new to this board, and really new to fine watches. I have a question that I hope can be addressed by some of you who know a WHOLE lot more about watches than I do. I was told (by and On-Line watch dealer) that NO mechanical watch should ever be immersed or submersed in water. I just bought a new Rolex Sub and I'm under the imrressin that it's waterproof to 1000ft (not that I'd ever go deeper than the bottom of a pool!!) The On-Line Dealer said that the Warranty is voided if the watch is damaged by water. Any thoughts on this issue. I'd appreciate any comments here. Thanks, and once agian, great site with great information! |
