Thanks for the info Rarebear. I purchased the Sub outside the country and the store where I bought it only had the subs w/date (and very few of the stainless models - they had a whole bunch of the gold and gold/ stainless models. In any case, this was my entry level Rolex (never dropped around 4 grand for a watch before) but I can see how these things can get addictive....got my eye on a Daytona. In any case, you mention "Rolex engineers". Do you mean local Rolex dealers who are authorized to work on Rolex's? How about if I send it off to Rolex in New York? Or, even, back to Switzerland?. If you care to answer, I thank you in advance.
