The series movement in your watch is no longer "supported" by Rolex, meaning they don't make parts and they will not work on the watch. However many independant watch makers can find the parts and do the work. I would talk to (or even employ) them. The two I know of first hand are...on the West Coast...Walter Gooden Inc., in Los Angeles (310) 820-5952...in Rhode Island...Tom Gref (401) 789-8463. Hopefully some of the others here can add to the list.
