As it happens, I live in Manchester England, I am currently on a waiting list for new 116520 Daytona, It could even be couple to three years before watch arrives!
The reason the Ebay looked interesting was that there were so many available, and it is very tempting to bid.
Lookng at the points that you raised earlier has opened my eyes a little to the possible pitfalls!

I see a lot of regular names occuring with favourable feedback.
I currently have Rolex Sea Dweller which I purchased new in 1991, I am fanatical about it and keep it in pristine condition. I would reluctantly sell this to pay towards Daytona if I can find a nice preferably with Black face but would consider white.
