Brings up a ques. regarding GMT bezels

I have found that on the older GMT's I've come across, the bezel moves too freely, this is unnerving when I want to use the feature for everyday conveniences, like keeping track of parking meter, and silly things like that. Any ideas on how to add some resistance w/out completely immobilizing the bezel?
