Hi there, I had a 1005 from 58. Nice watch! Mine was 14k and had a 1530 mvt. in it. Kept perfect time. You could opt for a steel and 14k oyster or jubilee bracelet or a leather strap with a 14k or gold filled buckle. Actually in the 40's many 2 tone pieces came with gold filled buckles so that would be fine. Actually there are a lot of phony 14k buckles out there being cast up, but the filled one's are likely original. Ebay abounds with such items. The jubilee bracelet for that model would be oval link as opposed to the later "d" link style. The oyster bracelet would either be a rivetted type or a later fold over style. These were made simultaneously so either would likely be ok. I think you would like the strap a little better maybe. Enjoy. T. |
