As I say below, only the very latest Rolexes have the crown lasered into the crystal and then not every model. Sorry, I'm not sure which models do and don't. If I were you, with a brand new watch, I would carefully remove the plastic and hologram complete and stick it to some card to keep with the rest of the watch papers. Use a scalpel or something similar. If you wear it with it on, it soon looks tatty and rough around the edges. Keep it in case you sell it in the future. Tom
