RE: Need help with spec. for Rolex Sub 5512 "pointed crown" by Thomas Taylor (Registered User) Date: 12/01/2001, 00:52:52 In response to: RE: Need help with spec. for Rolex Sub 5512 "pointed crown" -- Brett |
Hey Brett, The 5512 is a chronometer grade movement watch and that should be specified on the dial...if I'm not mistaken. Even as far back as 61. The 5512 and 5513 watches that I have seen have open minute tracks not the closed ones like yours has...The movement should be a chronometer grade and should read adjusted to 6 or 7 positions not unadjusted. I can't see what yours says. I don't know everything but this is all to the best of my knowledge. Hope this helps. Looks like your dial may have been replaced at some point. That would be a great dial for a late 5508 James Bond model. Early 5512's and 5513's might have come with closed minute tracks but I have never seen them this way. Perhaps someone else will know...Faddi, James... Best, T. |
