Hi all again, Well its off to Rolex for at least 8 weeks. I called the store I bought my wifes rolex from ( an offical rolex jeweler)and they would not give me a price, not even a rough one, also said last time it was over 6 weeks to get estimate, then 5 weeks more to repair/service. I then went to largest high ened watch jeweler around here.Must have 30-50 rolex's in store along with new patek jager lecoutre ect.(not offical but so much easier to do business with)and they where returning a watch to a women that just came back from rolex when I walked in, it took 9 weeks even including the xmass closed for 2 weeks and looked great for a 20 year old watch, that had been to service three times in its life. They said $400. is for service and cleaning and suspected that was all mine needed.I miss it already and had thoughts of buying a nice used s/s sub ( about 2900 in there store)to use while mine was with the rolex folks.Ended up sticking with my old heuer as a back up and marking the calander for hopfully some time in May.Thanks again for all good advice and info, I am hooked and will be a daily vistor!
