I have a 5514 that is currently unergoing full overhaul with Rolex Beverly Hills [it's fine/legitimate/no problems]. Before I bought it, I faxed Rolex Heritage in Geneva with the serial number to confirm that it was legitimate. Rolex responded that the watch corresponds to a 5514, but they couldn't [more like wouldn't] tell me whether the watch was originally sold to comex based on the serial number alone. Anyhow, that fax gave me the impression that some 5514's were NOT sold to Comex, yet I've never heard of a 5514 being a production watch. Any help greatly appreciated.
