Rolex Sub/Blancpain GMT by Frank D (Registered User) Date: 02/06/2002, 17:31:05 In response to: |
Question: I have an A serial number SS sub with date and black dial in like new condition. It was purchased in Dec of 99 at USA auth dealer. I have everything including orig receipt. I was considering on trading it for a blancpain GMT. The reason I'm looking for a GMT is that I'm doing a lot of domestic travel and the GMT would really come in handy. I would like some suggestions here from the experts. Am I doing the right thing with a Blancpain or will I regret my trade down the road? Someone told me that Blancpain is a better watch than the Rolex. They make all of their own parts and the finish is also better. I have never seen this watch and really do not know the company, so I'm shooting in the dark here. Should I just consider something less expensive for travel and keep my Sub? I was also considering an Omega Sea Master GMT with black rubber strap.(Used $1,000) Also, another watch I have not seen but can view at my local mall. Any info would be grateful. Frankd
