I am trying to locate my Uncle's old Rolex, an Oyster Perpetual. My grandfather gave it to him in 1955 as a present. It is engraved with his name and the year. I recieved it from my uncle in 1985. I hated to do it, but I sold it in 1990 to a jeweler in California so I could get the money to finish school. The jeweler told me he does not know what happened to it. I understand that Rolex keeps permanent records on all Rolex watches, including sales and service dates. I tried to locate a site where I can contact Rolex for help, to no avail. Can anyone help me with information on how I might get access to records or otherwise trace the history of this particular watch. I would like to try to buy it back if I can locate it.
