I was hoping that someone might be able to tell me a little bit about the watch that I have recently come into possession of. It is not signed anywhere apart from the inside of the case, which has ROLEX engraved in capital letters along with what looks like 35/16/49FB written in very small writing. The movement can be seen in one of the photos, which I have annotated so that the engraving can be read. I took the watch to my local jeweler's and was told that it is very unlikely that the watch is actually a Rolex, but that it is similar in style to some of the 1920's models. Could someone tell me if this is a direct copy of a model that was produced by Rolex and any information relating to that watch please?
