info much and basically learn about the newer stuff here from guys like you on Watchnet. It is cool that you were able to get that information from them and share it with us.

On another note, I had a Seiko quartz that I bought in Japan in about 1980...it wasn't quite that good. Still, I am sure they are quite accurate. Many of the other brands aren't, especially the cheaper ones and a friend of mine bought a Breitiling Aerospace and it was nowhere near as accurate as his Submariner which is +or- less than one second a day. He did send it back to Breitling and now it is just perfect...but with the technology available should it have ever been less?

Its really not about that though I guess. I was talking with my friend on this very subject yesterday and he used the following analogy... People pay millions of dollars for a Rembrandt, but a digital copy of a Rembrandt is worthless, even though it may be a completely 100% "accurate" representation of his work. The irony is that Rembrandt was hailed for his accuracy during his lifetime...something to think about. ():-)

And really quartz is even silly now isn't it. You can get a $50.00 watch that picks up the atomic time from a satellite that will blow it out of the water.

best,
T.
