In response to: RE: Omega Moon Watch new or old bracelet? -- al meza

I have several Omega watches, including a Seamaster Pro with the twin push clasp, and a late 90's Moon Chronograph, with the old style clasp. The twin push type clasp is superior to any clasp on any watch I have owned, and sorry Rolex zombies, that includes the Submariner! I frequently dive and am involved in water sports and this type works fantastic. It is a quality machined piece (not stamped like the Submariner) and almost impossible, in my opinion, to deploy accidently (unlike my Submariner which if caught by something from the inside of the clasp could deploy to the expansion links which would cause the band to expand sufficiently to fall off the wrist). I am not really a Rolex "basher," but feel, having owned the same for many years, that it is sufficiently over rated to be "bashed" based on my experience. I am currently trying to change my old Moon style clasp to the new twin push clasp. I love my Moon, a fantastic chronograph with great "genes!"

And....ALL my Omega watches (Moon chrono, Seamaster Pro and 120, Deville prestige-all mechanical movements..of course) keep better time and have held up (had to replace my Sub two tone blue dial after 4 years for fading to gray) better than my Sub that I bought new at Bucherer's in Switzerland in 1985. Ditto for my IWC's (Mark XII pilots and titanium Aquatimer)
