Although I don't own an JLC yet I have looked at them on a few occasions. The only models I'd consider buying are the manual wind Reversos...maybe a Sun/Moon (which has a beautiful dial and a exhibition back so you can see the movement). I have seen the Grand Sport and I can't say that I think its attractive or a watch I'd buy...but that just comes down to personal taste. I guess I find the dial is hardly classic JLC, the case looks sort of lumpy, and the bracelet is nothing to write home about. If I were buying a JLC it would be something thats sort of a classic...maybe a guillochea(spelling?)dial, manual wind, and definitely on a crocodile strap. If you are determined to get an automatic or something for everyday...I'd look elsewhere. When you buy a Reverso it should really be elegant...not some odd evolution of a classic that is trying to compete with more mainstream sports watches. Again it depends on your needs. Good Luck, Dean |
