In response to: RE: Railroad Approved Wrist Watch -- Skip

Hi Skip,

I have not seen "sync" and would like to see the RailRoad piece. As for RR wristwatches a BALL TRAINMASTER is one, selfwinding and winding type; all mechanical. Seiko and Pulsar will/would pass inspection and also one of the first electric such as Hamilton or acutron. To pass inspection numbers are needed on the dial as well as accurate time keeping. Once a month or every 3 months or every 6 months you had to have your watch inspected at a designated time inspection company and you paid for it. A Milwaukee timetable listed the brand, model, and inspectors in the back of every timetable. The RR rule for time is "TIME IS KEPT ON THE STATION HOUSE WALL" amoung other rules. A pocket watch such as Hamilton 992b I think is the best to have. regards, Leo
