In response to:

I am a Detective currently working a fourteen year old homicide case. The victim was retired from the Army and was fishing along a river bank in a rural area of the county. He was reported missing by his wife after he did not return home on same date. The victim`s decomposed body was found two months later approximately ten miles from where he was fishing. The Medical Examiner determined the cause of death to be from trauma to the head. The victim had also been shot in the back.
At the time of the victim`s murder he was wearing a Rolex watch with the serial number 1965045. I attempted to enlist the aide of a local jeweler in this matter but he was of no help, to make a long story short. I need assistance and/or advice in how to or who to contact to find out if this watch has ever been reconditioned or if there is a database I could check in regards to this matter. Any help and or suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Detective Mark Warf
