i think rado makes very nice ladies watches, although most are not automatic. they will last forever and are almost scratch proof. for men's watches i really like the panerai brand, iwc, porsche design and ikpod's look pretty interesting. Chronometer certificate (C.O.S.C.) is always a good thing to look for in an automatic watch. try this guy http://www.smwatches.com he has great prices and selection and seems very honest.
