That watch was the second model of the Explorer introduced in 1953. It did not carry the words Explorer on the dial though. The dial had the Explorer configuration, gold print which at the top said 'Oyster perpetual' and at the bottom Precision'.

Sadly, I imagine it will be not far from impossible to find a corrrect dial for that watch.
