Chronoswiss Deployment

I just bought a Chronoswiss watch and got it with a deployment buckle. It's cutting into my wrist a bit and I'm considering replacing it with the standard buckle. Could anyone provide some insight into how this is done? I'm not sure if I need an additional part, the prong (or whatever it's called), to put back in place on the end without the buckle.

Is this something "any" jeweler can do, so do I need to be careful here?
